Biographical Overview
Siskiyou County Supervisor for District 3, Michael N. Kobseff
Supervisor Kobseff's parents moved their family to Siskiyou County in
1968. He attended and graduated from McCloud schools. He was
born in 1957 and has been a resident of Siskiyou County for 45 years.
He married his wife, Lynn, in 1979, in Reno, Nevada. They set up
home in Mount Shasta. He and Lynn opened a restaurant in Mount
Shasta City which they operated for 30 years. Supervisor Kobseff
has two children and 5 grandchildren.
His interests include local government, golf, fishing, hunting, piano
and natural resource issues.
He serves as the Siskiyou County delegate to Rural County
Representatives of California and is Chairman of the Environmental
Services Joint Powers Authority under RCRC.
Michael was first elected District 3 Supervisor in 2006. He was
reelected in June 2010. His district includes the City of Weed,
Lake Shastina, Grenada, Big Springs, Gazelle and a portion of Mount
Shasta northwest of Abrams Lake Road.
