The Siskiyou County Community Corrections
Partnership (CCP) is seeking proposals from qualified
consultants/independent contractors to support effective implementation
of Siskiyou County’s Public Safety Realignment & Post Release Community
Supervision Plan. Qualified consultants will demonstrate knowledge of
criminal justice systems including evidence-based practices, project
management, data collection and program evaluation. To receive a copy of

Overview of 2011 Public Safety Realignment
Act (AB 109)
In an effort to
address overcrowding in California’s prisons and assist in alleviating
the state’s financial crisis, the Public Safety Realignment Act
(Assembly Bill 109) was signed into law on April 4, 2011. AB109
transfers responsibility for supervising specified lower level inmates
and parolees from the California Department of Corrections and
Rehabilitation to counties. Implementation of the Public Safety
Realignment Act is scheduled for October 1, 2011.
