WILLIAMSON ACT WORKING GROUP HISTORY

In response to significant changes to the Williamson Act at the State level, the Board of Supervisors has formed the Williamson Act Working Group to study the County's Williamson Act program.  The purpose of the Working Group is to study the effectiveness of the County's current program and to develop a series of recommendations on how this program could be enhanced to help support the County's agricultural industry.  The Board of Supervisors is committed to protect the County's agricultural industry and this effort is being undertaken as one measure to assist the industry as it tackles the many challenges that it faces today.

The Working Group members include the following citizens that have a long history in the County's agricultural community:

Agricultural Preserve Advisory Board:
Evelyn Hoyt,  Tony Hanna,  Samuel B. Jackson,  Dwight Roberts, and  Harold Porterfield
