The Office of the Public Defender provides legal services to eligible indigent defendants and other clients as mandated by the Government Code.
Clients are required to complete a detailed financial statement to determine their eligibility.
Our hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Closed for lunch between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.
Our attorneys handle Felony, Misdemeanor, Juvenile cases and Conservatorship. In each case, the court must appoint us to represent the client. If the client is eligible, they are directed to come to our office and make an appointment to see their attorney before their next court date.
