Raised in San Leandro, California, by his mother, Ed is the oldest of four sons. As a young teenager he worked various jobs, including one at the Oakland Coliseum. He is a sports fan who especially enjoys baseball and likes to collect coins, old trucks and antique telephone items. Ed has worked for AT&T for 30 years. He has been married to Barbara for 22 years and has been blessed with a son Kevin and a daughter Elaina. Both are attending CSU Chico. He and his family are members of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Ed has had a long standing interest in local government and has been in public service for nine years.
