The Siskiyou County Victim Witness Program is
part of the District Attorneys Office (Criminal Division) and is located in the
County Courthouse at 311 Fourth Street. Our office is on the second floor, Room 210.Office staff consists of one Victim/Witness Coordinator, four
Victim/Witness Advocates and Victim/Witness Volunteers.
The main goal of the Victim Witness program is to assist
victims and witnesses of crime in recovering physically, mentally and financially from the
effects of crime incidents. A secondary goal is to assist the District Attorneys
Office in successfully prosecuting cases involving crimes committed in Siskiyou Country.
As a crime victim, you have the right to be compensated, to
be heard and to be informed. The Victim/Witness Center provides the following free
services and assistance to crime victims:

VICTIM OF CRIME CLAIMS TO THE STATE BOARD OF CONTROL FOR
MEDICAL EXPENSES, PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING, LOSS OF INCOME OR SUPPORT, JOB TRAINING,
FUNERAL AND BURIAL EXPENSES.
