About The Museum
The Siskiyou County Museum opened its doors to the public on August 24, 1951 with its mission to collect, preserve, interpret and disseminate the history of Siskiyou County.
Museum displays highlight the people, places, and events that shaped our region’s history from prehistoric times to pioneer settlement. The 2 ½ acre Outdoor Museum exhibits machinery, early transportation vehicles, historic and recreated buildings.
