Zoning
Information
Every property in the County has
been designated a particular land use zoning
designation. The Zoning Ordinance defines these
land use regulations and have been established to
protect and promote the public health, safety, and
welfare within the County while providing economic and
social advantages which result from an orderly,
planned use of land resources.
Inquiries
as to the specific Zoning District applying to a
particular property can be obtained by contacting the
Planning Department, either in person or by telephone.
A Planner is available Monday through Friday, between
8 a.m and 5 p.m. for additional information regarding
zoning designations and requirements. Large scaled
zoning maps can be reviewed in the Planning Department
to determine the exact nature of the zoning boundaries
relative to surrounding parcels and land use.
