Food Facility Inspection Reports

Welcome to the Siskiyou County Public Health Food Facility Inspection web page. This page links to inspection information for approximately 375 food facilities that have a permit to operate in Siskiyou County.

Permitted retail food facilities include restaurants, bars, grocery stores, convenience stores and school cafeterias. All facilities are inspected by Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) for compliance with the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law (CURFFL). The law is found in the California Health and Safety Code, beginning with section 113700.

All routine inspections are unannounced visits by REHS inspectors who observe and check for proper food temperatures, food handling and storage, worker hygiene, facility sanitation and maintenance. Information available on the inspection report includes (in accordance with California Health and Safety Code 113947): name and address of the food facility, identification of major violations, and date of the inspection or reinspection. Minor violations that do not pose imminent health threats are also documented.

For each facility, the two most recent routine inspections and any subsequent reinspections will be posted. If you have any questions about this site, please feel free to call the Siskiyou County Environmental Health Division at 841-2100.

PLEASE NOTE: Since these inspection reports have considerable handwritten content, the PDF documents are not able to be converted to optical character recognized documents.
