Health & Human Services Agency

The Siskiyou County Health and Human Services Agency provides a wide range of social services, mental health services, alcohol and drug treatment services, public health services, emergency preparedness and income assistance. The Agency was formed in 2013 in response to the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors' vision to integrate and deliver comprehensive health services.

The Agency strives to deliver high quality services in an efficient, safe, client centered manner care to support creation of healthy communities. Our focus is on healthy beginnings and living well for all County residents. The Agency is responsible for implementing a full complement of health care services for low-income families, children, pregnant women, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

The Agency has three divisions: Public Health, Social Services, and Behavioral Health Services. Each of the divisions have unique responsibilities.  Please use the navigation found in the left column to explore those divisions and their responsibilities.

Public Health

The Siskiyou County Public Health Division provides a full range of  health services to the residents of Siskiyou County. Public Health programs are staffed by a team of highly skilled and qualified health care professionals. 

Social Services

The Social Services Division provides services that address some of the core social issues that effect the well being of Siskiyou County residents. Staff administer all of the basic public assistance programs (CalFresh, CalWORKs, Welfare-to-Work, Medi-Cal/CMSP, and General Assistance), the protective services programs (Adult Protective Services, Child Protective Services, In-Home Supportive Services), and Public Guardian/Public Conservator, and Public Authority.

Behavioral Health Services

The Behavioral Health Services Division provides a broad range of mental health and substance use disorder services. Specially trained county behavioral health staff members provide services in cooperation with community agencies and private health care providers
