Local Transportation Commission

The Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission (SCLTC), the designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), was created by the Transportation Development Act (TDA) and established in 1972. The SCLTC governing board consists of three delegates and one alternate appointed by the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors and three delegates, and one alternate appointed by the League of Local Agencies, which represents the nine incorporated cities.

SCLTC provides support and assists with the coordination on projects between our local partners and various funding programs. The transportation planning process requires involvement from multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to, federal, state, and local agencies, tribal governments, private partners, and the public. During the year, a variety of projects are at various phases of the planning process.
