Burn Day Status
Fire Season in effect May 1, ALL OUTDOOR BURNING REQUIRES BURN PERMIT as per Cal Fire.
Today is a Burn Day
Burn hours today are 8AM to 6PM.
Effective May 1, all outdoor burning requires a current burn permit. Burn permits are available from Cal Fire and designated collaborating agencies. Burn permits are available from the Air Pollution Control District only for agricultural burning in Local Responsibility Areas.
Note: The following cities require residential burn permits year-round: Dorris, Etna, Ft Jones, McCloud, Montague, Mt Shasta, & Yreka.
Residential burning is prohibited in: Lake Shastina, & Tulelake.
