Today is a Burn Day. Burn hours are 8AM to 6PM.
Fire Season was declared by Cal Fire on May 1, 2016.
Burn permits may be obtained from Cal Fire, designated US Forest Service Ranger District Offices, or city resident's local city hall or fire department.
Note: The following cities require residential burn permits year-round: Dorris, Etna, Ft Jones, McCloud, Montague, Mt Shasta, & Yreka.
Residential burning is prohibited in: Lake Shastina, & Tulelake.
