The Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services is responsible for response and support for any disaster which occurs in order to protect and assist citizens of Siskiyou County.  Siskiyou County is in a unique geographic location which is susceptible to a variety of disasters.  The susceptibility spectrum includes fire, severe weather, flooding, hazardous material spills, multi-casualty incidents, earthquakes and volcanoes.  The Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services concentrates on working with target communities for mitigation efforts before disasters, response during disasters, and support for the citizens after the occurrence of a disaster
